Contact Blue Flame Ventures

First, let me introduce myself. My name is Rod Zelles, President of Blue Flame Ventures Inc.

Having spent a number of years in the hospitality field, I earned a diploma in Hotel & Restaurant Management and have been a part of the LGBT communities in Edmonton, Vancouver and Winnipeg.

I have worked  for a number of years in the accounting field and volunteered as the secretary for Vancouver Pride including handing all of the marketing and advertising. Most recently I worked as a consultant for a company in the US promoting LGBT travel.

Over many years, I have become quite familiar with the needs and wants of both the hospitality industry and the LGBT community realizing that their community, friends, family and allies cover every walk of life, from the business executive to homeless person.

I was honoured to be one of a handful of speakers at the LGBT Expo Conference in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and was one of 5 international speakers at FITA 2012, the International Tourism and Trade Fair of the Americas in Mexico City. I was thrilled to provide insight into the LGBT version of the Global Code of Ethics for Tourism. A document being created by the United Nations World Tourism Organization.

I have also provided consulting in cities across Canada and Mexico for hotels, colleges, restaurants, tourism agencies and any company interested in appealing to the LGBT community.

My passion in this business stems from sitting by and watching the LGBT population be treated as second class citizens throughout the world. That is why I have created Blue Flame Ventures Inc. to provide a specialized service unique to the hospitality industry and business world and any industry interested in enhancing their business.
